Washington, DC October 25, 2019 – Northwest Ohio-based RMF Nooter was honored by peers from across the country while receiving first place in the nation for more than 2.3 million work-hours performed injury-free on a construction project.
The first-place Zero Injury Safety Award was for work done at the BP Toledo Refinery located in Oregon, Ohio. When asked why RMF Nooter is consistently ranked top five in the nation, Bobbie Strayer, Vice President of Administration at RMF Nooter noted, “Safety is a part of every phase of our jobs. From the planning phase, through execution, and at close out. Our experience shows that operating safely and efficiently requires a long-standing culture and practice. Once safety is woven into your culture it becomes standard operating procedure.”
Jake Josias, Senior Vice President and General Manager of RMF Nooter, Inc. accepted the award during a formal gala at the Washington National Cathedral alongside representatives from the NW Ohio Building Trades Council and the Lima Building Trades Council.
“It’s an amazing feeling for our company to be recognized like this in front of our peers and customers on a large, national level,” Josias said. “I’m honored to receive this national award as a representative of our employees, and I thank each of our employees who make RMF Nooter such an amazing company.”
